Film You In
The days where I could watch a film then dissect, argue or geek out about it afterwards seem few and far between and I’m in search of a platform to keep the conversation alive. My intention was to start a film blog with a journalistic approach, I figured why not, films are the one thing that makes me warm and fuzzy, can keep me talking for hours and the enthusiasm never wanes. But I can’t help but being reminded of some life and time or other that involved films, they are always looming in both the fore and background of any milestone or average event. I find myself straying towards personal stories, I obsessed over film as a child, aced the stuff in high school since examining films was hardly a laborious task but it then lead me to do pretty much the same thing at university all whilst holding a job in DVD retail. That all seems like many moons ago and yet as life evolves the one thing that remains constant is my film intake: cinephile, buff, addict call it what you will but I can’t and won’t stop devouring them. From school to marriage and everything in between I find that film has reared its head in important ways so I figure lets run with it, get all the film conversations I’ll never have out of my head and park them right here.
